Born in 1958, city of Minsk.
In 1981 graduated from Belarusian State University, Faculty of History. After ending the university worked there for several years as a lecturer.
From 1985 worked as scientific associate in Minsk Institute of Culture, from 1988 - in Academy of Sciences, Institute of Philosophy and Law, later - Institute of Sociology.
In 1988 defended a thesis and obtained Candidate of Philosophy degree. After that, in 1994, on defending a thesis, obtained Doctor of Sociology degree.
In 1996 - 2006 worked as first deputy director in Minsk research institute of socio-economic and political problems.
Since February, 2006 from Jenuary 2016 worked as dean on Faculty of Philosophy and Social sciences, BSU. At the same time, since 2007, holds a post of chief editor in the journal "Philosophy and social sciences".

He was born on July 2nd, 1970 in Minsk. He graduated from the Philosophy Department of the Philosophy and Economics faculty of the Belarusian State University. (1993)
He has been working at Sociology Department BSU since 1995, as an associate professor (1998), and as a professor (2007).
He defended a candidate's dissertation "Methodological Foundation of the Sociology of Power" (1997) and a doctor dissertation "Social Dynamics of State and Church Relations: sociological analysis" (2006).
Sphere of scientific interests:
problems of mutual relations of the state and religion, problems of modern status of the religion sphere, technologies and methods of social management.
He is an author of 120 research works, teaching and methodical publications (including three monographs)

Biography:
She was born on November 22, 1973 in Slutsk, Minsk district. In 1996 she graduated from the Philosophy and Economics Department of the Belarusian State University with a specialization of sociology.
Since 2008 - she is an applicant for the Department of Sociology. Educational activity: lecturer at the Sociology Department of BSU, senior lecturer (2008-2009), associate professor at the Sociology Department (since 2009). In 2009 she successfully defended a Candidate's thesis at sociology.
Sphere of scientific interests: process of formation and evolution of sociology, peculiarities of development of modern foreign sociology, succession of the classical and modern sociological paradigms, analysis of daily routine conceptions in the view of history of sociology, stigmatized groups research.

Biography:
Candidate of Philosophy (1980), senior researcher, associate professor (2009). She is a sociologist, political scientist, specialist in the sphere of sociology of politics and power, methodology and methods of sociological researches.
She was born on July 7th, 1951. In 1974 she graduated from Philosophy Department of the BSU and became a representative of the first professional sociologists, graduated with a specialization "applied sociology".
Her scientific effort and educational work, from the senior laboratory assistant to the senior scientist, the head of the research department laboratory and the deputy head of sociology department, took place within the walls of the home university.
Her scientific interests are connected with sociology of politics and power and her research practice is marked by active foreign contacts and participation in international projects. Since 1993 she's been being a member of executive committee of the international project "Democracy and the Municipal Administration", which is well-known abroad. She actively took part in the international sociological and political sciences congresses and she's been being a member of the World Sociological and Political Sciences Association. Her works were published in the leading academic and university publications in the USA, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, Korea, Poland and Russia. In 1995 she was honoured with a title of academic of the New York Academy of Sciences for her productive participation in the international sociology cooperation and her scientific achievements.

Head of Social Sciences Department (since 2005), corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1996), Doctor of Social Sciences (1994), Professor (1997). Sociologist, politologist. Specialist in the field of Theory, Methodology, and History of Sociology.
Born on May 14, 1955 in Vitebsk he received higher education there. He worked as secretary of Komsomol's Committee with the Institute, Deputy Head of Vitebsk Region Committee of Lenin Communist Youth League of Belarus, instructor, Head of lecturers' group, Head of Young Students' Department, Head of Department for Youth Problems Research, Head of Sociological Laboratory of the Central Committee of Lenin Communist Youth League of Belarus (1978-1991). In 1991-1994 he worked as Chief specialist (sociologist), Head of the sector for research of public opinion and modeling, Head of Analytical Department of the Information Service with the Government of the Republic of Belarus. In 1994-2000 he worked as Head of the sector for research of public opinion and modeling, Deputy Head of central administration of public and political information, Head of Information and Analytical Administration with the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus. In 2000-2003 he became Professor of Social Sciences Department of the Belarusian State University. Since 2003 he has been Deputy Chairperson of the Higher Attestation Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
In the meantime, since 1991 he has been the lecturer of the Social Sciences Department in the Belarusian State University. In 1996-2003 he was Deputy Chairperson of the Belarusian Republican Fund of Fundamental Research. In 1997-2009 he was Deputy Academician Secretary of the Division of Humanitarian Sciences and Arts of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Since 1997 he has been editor-in-chief of scientific and theoretical journal Sociology.
His major research were in the field of Theory, Methodology, and History of Sociology, Sociology of Transformation Processes of Societies in Transition. He is the author of theoretical and methodical concept that reveals mechanism of systemic transformation changes in ex-Soviet countries, he also worked out theoretical background of a new direction in Social Science - Sociology of Transformation Processes of Societies in Transition. He performed the research of interaction of authorities and society, functions of political elite, modern problems of globalization policy and prospects of nation state development. Besides he set forward a sociocultural model of concept of the state youth policy, analyzed youth's position in conditions of transition to market relations.
Moreover he is the author and co-author of course books and teaching aids on Sociology, other Humanitarian and Social Sciences, methodology and technique of social research, theory and history of Sociology for higher education institutions and secondary schools.
He is prize winner of the award of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1999) for the best scientific work; of maintenance allowance of the President of the Republic of Belarus for workers in the field of science, education, culture, and public health service (2001) for reaching high results in the sphere of their professional activity. He was awarded a commendation of the President of the Republic of Belarus (2005) for achievements in forming national attestation system, fruitful work in the sphere of preparation and attestation of scientific and pedagogic personnel of highest qualification.

Doctor of Sociological Sciences (2009), professor (2013), sociology department professor (2009). Sociologist, specialist in the sphere of methodology and methods of sociological researches, statistical methods of data handling, social and economical statistics. She is a participant of national and international research projects on problems of HIV-infection prevention and drugconsumption in Belarus, issues of behavioral characteristics of risk groups. She is a developer of national system of monitoring and situation assessment of HIV/AIDS in the Republic of Belarus.
She graduated from the Department of Mechanics and Mathematics of Belarusian State University, mathematics speciality. She has been lecturing at sociology department since 1991. She is an author of more than 150 publications (research monographs, articles, teaching and methodical publications and encyclopaedias, a joint author of teaching aids and collective monographs).

Biography:
Kurilovich Natalya Vyatscheslavovna was born in Minsk. She graduated with honours from Minsk secondary school № 68 and in 1993 entered the Sociology Department of the Philosophy and Economics Faculty of the Belarusian State University. She graduated in 1998 and successfully passed the postgraduate course exams at the Sociology Department. On May, 2001 she defended a candidate's thesis "Methodological Aspects of Gender Analysis of Mass Media" ahead of schedule and become a Candidate of Sociology on "Theory, methodology and history of sociology" speciality.
On the September 1st, 2001 she was hired as a lecturer to the Sociology Department, in 2002 she became a senior lecturer and since 2006 she's been working there as an associate professor. She worked at examinational commission at the period of BSU entrance examinational campaigns. She also repeatedly participated at the carrying out the rehearsal and centralized testing.
She was a chairperson of the students and postgraduate students research work Council of the Philosophy and Social Studies Department from 2003 to 2007. She also was an acting deputy of the head of research work at the Sociology Department from 2004 to 2006.Since 2005 till 2007 she was working as an executive secretary of scientific and theoretical journal "Sociology". In 2008 she was awarded a letter of commendation on the occasion of 85th anniversary of the Belarusian State University. Since 2008 she's been working as a member of the editorial board of "Sociology" journal.
She is an author of more than 40 scientific works (including one monograph).
Sphere of scientific interests:
history, theory and methodology of sociological researches, gender research, sociology of education. She is giving such courses now: "sociology of education", "History of sociology", "General sociology".

She was born on October 16th , 1967 in Minsk. She graduated from the Philosophy and Economics Department of the Belarusian State University in 1990 and finished the full-time postgraduate course on "Theory, methodology and history of sociology" in 1993. She defended a candidate's dissertation "Methodological Foundation of the Sociology of Innovation" in 1993.
She has been working at Sociology Department of Philosophy and Social Studies Faculty since 1990. She is an Academic Secretary of the faculty Academic Council.
She has trained a Candidate of Sciences and supervises postgraduate students' scientific work.
She is an author of about 80 publications (articles, teaching and methodical publications and encyclopaedias, a joint author of teaching aids and collective monographs). She is an author of monograph: "Sociology of Innovations" (Minsk 2009)

Candidate of Philosophy (1984), sociology department associate professor (1989-1999, 2009). Sociologist, specialist in history of sociology, methodology and methods of sociological researches.
He was born on September 23rd, 1943 in Akmolinsk (Kazakh Soviet Socialistic Republic) in the family of office workers. He finished secondary school in Minsk in 1961. After serving in the armed forces he had entered the philosophy department of the faculty of history of the BSU, and graduated it in 1973. He has been studying at postgraduate course at the history of philosophy and logic department from 1973 to 1976. Then he worked at problem laboratory of sociological research of BSU Institute of Philosophy and Law of BSSR Academy of Sciences as research worker and senior researcher. He's been working at sociology department from 1989 to 1999 as an associate professor and as a deputy director of "International Humanitarian Institute" of Belarusian State University from 1999 to 2003. He also worked as an associate professor of social and humanitarian sciences department of the faculty of international relations BSU (2003 - 2009). He's been working as an associate professor of sociology department since 2009.
Sphere of scientific interests:
problems of history of national and Western Sociology, methodology of sociological research, social stratification, and sociology of education, marketing and advertisement. A.P. Limarenko was a scientific adviser of a number of research projects devoted to problems of national culture and education, labour-market research, problems of students' adaptation to new factors of social environment, sociology of the family and etc. A.P. Limarenko made an important contribution to the arrangement of professional sociological education in Belarus. He places high emphasis on scientific personnel training and supervises postgraduate students' scientific work.
He is an author more than 90 scientific works, including: "Sociological Dictionary" (1991, joint author); "Methodological Foundations of Sociology: Sociology as a Science" (1992, joint author); "History of Sociology" (1993 and 1997, joint author); "The Human Nowadays" (2009, Minsk) and etc.

Professor of sociology department (1995), doctor of sociological sciences (1993). Member of the New-York Science Academy (1997), honorary member of International Education Society (2007) and The Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences of The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (1996).
She is a sociologist and philosopher, an expert at history, theory and methodology of sociological researches. She is an author of works at sociology of youth, culture, public opinion, religion, and urban sociology.
She was born in Minsk. She graduated from Philosophy Department of the Faculty of History Sciences of the Belarusian State University with a diploma of the professional sociologist (1975). In 1978, after finishing postgraduate course, she has defended a candidate's dissertation at philosophy, and in 1992 - a doctor dissertation at sociology. Her creative development is connected with BSU: Applied Sociology Research Department, Philosophy and then Ethics and Aesthetics Departments. She has been working at Sociology Department since it was founded.
Larissa Titarenko is a member of International Sociology Association (since 1982) and International Institute of sociology (since 1996). Worked on probation abroad: at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences (1996), at Woodrow Wilson International Center (1998-1999). She lectured sociology in the USA (1999-2000) and Poland (2003). She is also a participant of international research projects in such spheres as European values, socialization of young people, urban sociology, life quality and ecology.
She is a Belarusian National Contact Point for Social-Economic Sciences and Humanities and for Science-and-Society spheres within the Seventh Framework Program and Horizon-2020 Program of the European Union.
She is a member of editorial boards of many Belarusian and foreign scientific journals.
She has published more than 500 works in 9 languages, including 10 textbooks and 15 monographs. She is an author and joint author of sociological encyclopaedias and manuals, monographs on problems of sociology theory, transformation and democratization of postsoviet society, sociology of youth, culture and gender sociology.
She was a Laureate of Picheta Prize in 2009.
In 2019 she was awarded with the National medal of Francisc Skorina for scientific success.

Candidate of Philosophy (1986), associate professor, specialist in the sphere of economic sociology, sociology of entrepreneurial activity and marketing research.
She was born on November 16th, 1957 in village Dolishne of Kolomya district, Ivano-Frankovsk region, Ukraine. She graduated with honours from the Department of Political Economic of Economic Faculty of the Kharkiv National University. She studied at the postgraduate course of KNU from 1982 to 1985, and in 1986 defended candidates' thesis.
She worked at KNU from 1980 to 1999 as a junior researcher of the sociology laboratory (1980-1986), senior researcher (1986-1993), associate professor of the sociology of labour and management department, vice-chancellor of the faculty of sociology KNU (1994-1999).
Since September 1999 she's been working as an associate professor of the Sociology Department of the Belarusian State University. Two candidates' dissertations were written and defended under her direction.
She published more than 60 works and has taken part at a number of international projects of INTAS, Kopernik, Tacis.
